F/V Zejula runs a small number of private charters each season out of Charlestown, Rhode Island. Trips run anywhere from four hours to twenty-four, for up to four anglers. Every one is custom built for the party aboard, and bookings are by referral-only.
Zejula does not run a fixed schedule of trip packages. We take a limited number of charters. Trips run from four hours to twenty-four, and each one is designed around the group’s goals and skill level, then synced to the conditions and the species that are actually available that week. Anglers come to us by referral — from captains in the network, from past charters, and from people who know the operation.
Most charters leave the dock on the captain's read of yesterday. Zejula leaves on a briefing — sea surface temperature structure, water column and bathymetry, tide and solunar timing, and the accumulated record of what this boat and the whole fleet have done on comparable days. The plan you fish is the plan the system produced, and the captain will tell you why.
Tell us how you would like to fish and we will build the day around it. A party that wants to throw flies at albies and a party that wants to put a trophy pelagic in the boat are two entirely different trips — and both are definitely doable.
Because every trip is customized, the figures below are reference points rather than a fixed menu. The final number is set when the day is planned — run distance, duration, and target all move it. Rates are for the boat, not per person.
Included: fuel, bait, terminal tackle, rods and reels, ice, and water. Not included: gratuity for the crew, which is customary at industry standard. No fishing license is required of guests aboard a licensed charter vessel.
Zejula is fully licensed for both charter and commercial fishing, operating under USCG, NOAA, and Rhode Island authority with the reporting obligations that come with them kept current. This is a working boat, not a seasonal side operation.
The fish, the photos, and the remarkable memories made are yours — not ours — to savor and share. Zejula runs on data, and guests are entitled to know exactly what happens to theirs.
